AEII is a MacOS application that opens an additional instance of Adobe After Effects. In other words, two After Effects applications open at the same time.

Why, you ask? I’ve personally had instances where one project is rendering, and I wanted to make use of my time on another project. There have also been instances where I somewhat work simultaneously on two projects due to quick revisions happening within both projects, and toggling back and forth between the two AE instances made sense at the time. This scenario is less common, but saving time to open and close AE every time made sense in those moments.
