value difference

Value Difference is an Adobe After Effects utility that instantly calculates the numerical difference between two selected keyframes on the same property.

I’ve often wanted a quick way to see how much a value actually changed—whether I was adjusting animation timing, dialing in subtle tweaks, or matching values across shots. Scrubbing the timeline or doing mental math slowed things down more than it should have.

With Value Difference, you simply select two keyframes and run the command. A popup displays the exact difference between them. It works on standard properties like Position, Scale, and Rotation, as well as on any effect parameter—as long as it’s defined by a numerical value. For multi-value properties (such as X/Y or X/Y/Z), each dimension’s difference is shown individually.
